Happy Sunday, friends! This week’s list is all over the place, kinda like me. I don’t know if it’s because summer is right around the corner or what, but I’m feeling a bit discombobulated these days. Are you? Perhaps it’s just me. Anyway, today’s favorites list tackles some wonderfully serious topics and some delightfully delicious ones. I hope you find something you like and have a fabulous day!

No one likes planning for their demise, but I adore the idea presented in the Art of Simple’s post, A different kind of love letter, that this type of planning is another way to show our family that we love them. This post gives great examples of things we can do to make sure our loved ones aren’t lost when we are gone. This particularly hits home for us and has given me a great list of questions/topics for our next date night. Aren’t I fun? 🙂

As I get older, I get more of a handle on my personal style, and I bet you do too. I’ve recently been rethinking my closet and working on a capsule wardrobe (the fewer options the better in the mornings). Modern Mrs. Darcy’s post, Two questions to refine your personal style,  added a new dimension to the “should I keep/buy this” equation. Honestly, it simplified things tremendously. It also means I’ve added quite a few more things to the donation pile. I hope they find a good home and can make someone else feel beautiful in a way they never did for me.

I’m a big fan of remembering who I am and whose I am. Sufficiently Insufficient’s post, Mistaken identity, does a beautiful job of reminding us who we are in God’s eyes and the labels he wants us to use for ourselves. We all get off track from time to time and let self-doubt and fear take over. This post is a fabulous reminder of who God created us to be. I’ve bookmarked it to go back and read when I hear those negative voices taking over.

This parenting stuff is tricky, friends. Especially when it comes to encouraging children to do their best and be part of a team. The One Where Mom Starts A Blog’s post, The one with the no-hitter… and the home run, is such an encouragement. While we are a basketball family instead of a baseball family, the teamwork message is the same. No one can win or lose a game by themselves, it takes everyone playing their part. I know all sports families will be encouraged by this post.

And now for an extra sweet one. We are so ready for our upcoming beach vacation we can hardly stand it. The crash of the waves and sand in our toes simply can’t come fast enough. One of our favorite things to do on vacation is treating ourselves to key lime pie on a stick from a street vendor. I know it sounds strange, but it is amazing. Dinner then Dessert’s recipe, Easy Key Lime Pie, takes me right back to that warm sidewalk and the cool, tangy key lime pie. Her recipe is so quick and easy that I could whip it up on a school night… and I plan to do just that!

I hope you have found something that resonates with you in this post. What are you loving this week?
