Happy Sunday, friends! This has been a wonderfully wacky week with Wild Man finishing kindergarten, day camp orientation and more activities in the last three days of school than I could have imagined. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some relaxation and a vacation. I bet you are too. This week’s Sunday Share covers things every woman needs in her life, summer books for grown-ups, parenting and a sweet song. I hope it brings you as much joy as each post brought me.
I adore The Art of Simple’s post, 22 things every woman needs in her life. I’m a sucker for lists and this one has such great substance. I can place check marks next to most of the things on the list, but there are some that are lacking. How about you?
You all know how much I love to read and that I’m always looking for new things to add to my “to read” list. Miracles in the Mundane’s post, Thankful Thursday – Spring 2016 books, includes reviews of 10 books, including a few that were already on my list and some I’d never heard of. I appreciated her quick take on each book and have made some changes to my reading list accordingly.
Guys, Kirsten Oliphant’s post, When your child doesn’t win an award, hits close to home. We are so not “a trophy for every child” parents and yet, when your child is left out of the awards ceremony, you want to be those parents. You want your child to be recognized for the unique person they are, but the truth is, not every year will be an award winning year. I love the way Kirsten tackles this tricky situation.
Have you seen this delightful video of Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick singing True Colors? If you haven’t, take a moment to watch. I adore this song and their version is simply perfect.
So what about you? What’s making you happy this week?
