Happy Sunday, dear friends!

I hope you are having a restful weekend and are ready for the week ahead. Here are a few of my favorite things this week.

Melanie Home Drawings

I have the most talented friends. Melanie is one of the sweetest people I know, always encouraging others and bringing joy to everyone she meets. She is a great wife and mom to two of the best boys around. Professionally, she’s a realtor, interior designer and artist. My favorite thing she does professionally is creating beautiful pencil drawings of homes, wedding venues, landmarks and special memories for her clients. She made a beautiful drawing that we gave my parents for Christmas and it was one of my favorite gifts we gave this year. What can she draw for you?

The Simple Show Podcast Episode #2: The Fringe Hours with Jessica Turner

I’ve long been a reader of The Art of Simple, Tsh Oxenreider’s blog. I love her take on living simple: “We define ‘simple living’ this way: living holistically with your life’s purpose.” I’ve recently begun listening to her podcast, The Simple Show, on the way to the office in the mornings and it’s a great way to begin my day. Tsh and her guests talk about living simply, yes, but more than that they talk about living intentionally. I was really impacted by episode 2, The Fringe Hours with Jessica Turner, and the book is next to read on my Kindle. Check it out, you won’t be sorry.

Grok Nation with Mayim Bialik

I’ve watched Mayim Bialik the actor nearly my entire life (I’m a HUGE Beaches and Big Bang Theory fan), but over the past few years, I’ve been mostly impressed with her off-screen work. I first started reading her Kveller blog, and then her book, Beyond the Sling, helped me find my path as a parent. Her new adventure, Grok Nation, delves deeply into what interests her, from parenting to her life in Hollywood, from her activism to religion. She takes readers to a thoughtful place in each post and I really appreciate her perspective.  She’s building a great community on Grok Nation and I hope you will join me there.

Coloring Pages for grown-ups with Outrageously Wonderful

I love coloring books. I’ve even been known to ask for an extra coloring page at restaurants so my kiddos don’t have to share with their Mama. So the trend of grown-up coloring books is right up my alley. I have a few coloring books that I love, but I also love finding printable pages to download. Check out my Pinterest board dedicated to coloring pages that encourage you to embrace your inner artist.
