Happy Sunday, dear friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and are ready for the week ahead! This week’s Sunday Share is all about friendship, art and food.

Sometimes all we need is a good friend to come alongside us to help us see that what makes us different makes us beautiful. I love that this story kept popping up on my Facebook feed from different sites throughout the week, but I especially loved that Jen from EPBOT took a closer look at the girls’ process and reached out to get the “maker” side of the story. I adore the friendship between these two girls and the way they made something fabulous out of a difficult situation.

Dreaming
There is something about fabric art that makes my heart sing. I love the way talented artists and sewers take fabric and make things you can actually wear, snuggle with or hang on a wall to be enjoyed for enjoyment’s sake. Dana’s quilt market wrap up was just the hit of beauty I needed this week. The colors, patterns and explosion of creativity just blew my mind. Dana’s site is an amazing inspiration and resource for anyone who loves to sew, or wants to love to sew. She even inspired me to make a garland for my daughter’s first bed – the isolette at the hospital – it was outrageously wonderful.

Inspiring
Ashley Hackshaw is one of my favorite people that I’ve never met. I discovered her blog at least six years ago and what I love most about her is the way she and her family continue to do the next right thing, the next best thing, for them. They moved from California to the North Carolina mountains a few years ago to slow down and reconnect with nature. Her creativity exploded. She’s been working on a tiny book for a while now, showing little snippets along the way, and this week we got a look at the finished product. It’s breathtaking. Take a look and learn the story of the way wolves changed the landscape of Yellowstone. You won’t regret it.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to simplify our evenings and meal planning seems to work for lots of people. I sat down Saturday morning and made a plan for the entire week, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, daily prep and a grocery list. It actually was pretty relaxing – who knew? This week we are trying this recipe for lemon pepper chicken thighs, making fajitas, having a salad for dinner (shhh Mom, I know!) and planning for a leftover night. Check out my Slow and low Pinterest board for other slow-cooker recipes that will show up in the next few weeks. I’ll keep you updated on how menu planning is working for us and let me know if you are interested in seeing our weekly menu and prep schedule. I’m happy to share if it will help you.
So that’s it for me, what are you favorite things this week?
