Here we are, back at Meal Plan Monday again! This week will probably be our last freezer-based meal plan for a bit – we’ve gotten things down to a manageable state again. We’ve got a meal plan full of easy, delicious, and budget-friendly meals.
By shopping the sales and our inventory, five meals for our family of four, plus one night of leftovers, comes in at about $60 this week. Again, fancy meals they are not. They are affordable, filling meals that are quick and easy for our busy family.
Let’s get into it.
It’s Meal Plan Monday and we are continuing to shop our freezer and pantry this week. After reviewing our freezer inventory and polling the family, I’ve put together a meal plan full of easy, delicious, and budget-friendly meals.
By shopping the sales and our inventory, five meals for our family of four, plus one night of leftovers, comes in at about $55. Let’s be clear – these are not fancy meals. These are affordable, filling meals that our family loves and are quick and easy to put together on a weeknight.
Let’s jump into it.
Picking one little word for the year is a tricky thing, a personal thing, for me, a prayerful thing.
I often begin reflecting on how the current word of the year has been meaningful in late November or early December. I think back to the different ways the word impacted my hopes, thoughts, reactions, and plans throughout the year. How it has guided and directed me, reminded me of grace and brought me peace.
By mid-December, I find myself thinking about the year ahead. Thinking about my hopes and dreams, setting goals and milestones. Throughout it all, there is prayer, conversations with God about His hopes, desires, plans for the year ahead. Requests for that one little word that will guide and direct, bring grace and peace.
Hi, friends! We are just back from our annual trip to the beach and boy, has it put me in the summer frame of mind! This week’s edition includes a delicious summer treat, summer parenting hacks, a new scripture coloring book for the whole family, a great way to connect with your kiddos each day and a fun family activity. I hope you enjoy these posts as much as I did!
Summer is here, friends! Yesterday marked Wild Man’s last day of kindergarten and we now officially have a first grader! We got a great packet of summer activities from his teacher, but the number one thing she wants him to do is practice reading.
Wild Man’s reading has really taken off in the last few months and today we are sharing five of his favorites. These are also some of Bunny’s favorite books, so kids of all ages should enjoy them. Wild Man’s favorite thing to do lately is to read to Bunny, which is super sweet and helps them both get their reading time in. Hopefully, your kids will enjoy reading these as much as ours do.
